With the cheerful sound of waist drums and festive dances, the “Artistic Prosperity” 2025 Zhejiang Province “Our Chinese Dream—Culture into Thousands of Homes” campaign was launched on January 7 in Yunlong Village, Ningbo Yinzhou District.
The event, hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee Publicity Department and the
Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and organized by the Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Volunteers, Ningbo Municipal Party Committee Publicity Department, and Ningbo Federation of Literary and Art Circles, drew an enthusiastic crowd.
The opening ceremony featured performances carefully prepared by provincial and municipal artists. Renowned performers, including national first-class actor Wang Jing and Huang Shuang, a young singer who won the national vocational college art skills competition, kicked off the audiovisual feast with their melodious duet, Happiness in China Together, setting a festive and harmonious tone.
Dong Liang, champion of the 2011 CCTV Fashion China's Spring Magic Show and president of the Ningbo Acrobats Association, created a fantastical and mysterious ambiance with his magic show Dreamland. The skit Gift-Giving, performed by well-known artists, conveyed meaningful lessons through humor and wit. A breathtaking acrobatic performance, Balancing Pipes, by Chen Yu and others from the Hangzhou Acrobatic Troupe, captivated the audience with its thrilling precision. The Cixi Celadon Instrument Ensemble's rendition of Yu Jie Xing, performed with celadon instruments, offered a rare and extraordinary musical experience. The audience responded with thunderous applause, creating a lively and celebratory atmosphere.
Local performances from Ningbo also showcased their unique charm. The Yinzhou District Folk Artists Association presented the Ninghai Pingdiao opera Tooth Play, while Ningbo Quyi Association Vice Chairman Zhang Hongkun led a musical performance of Dragon Boat Eighteen Bowls. These performances, like vibrant paintings, elegantly and joyfully reflected the spirit of the times and cultural beauty.
In the afternoon, calligraphy and painting masters gathered at Yunlong Village's cultural auditorium, writing spring couplets, creating New Year paintings, and gifting auspicious “Fu” characters. The festive atmosphere was palpable as villagers joyfully brought home these symbols of the New Year.
A Yinzhou District official stated that the 2025 “Our Chinese Dream—Culture into Thousands of Homes” campaign's official launch in Yunlong marks not only a high-quality cultural offering for Ningbo citizens but also signals a promising year ahead for Ningbo's cultural development.
