Ninghai sits at the foot of grand Tiantain Mountain facing vast and minghty East China Sea .It has rich tourism resources. Lianghuang Mountain that was portrayed in the first chapter of travels written by famous Xu Xiake, resides in the west of the county. In the north, Yancang Mountain, which was old residential place of Mr.Huang in the West-han dynasty, now is one of the Ten Scenic Spots of Ningbo. In the south, Shouning Temple is the old place where famous Monk Jian Zhen in the Tang dynasty have been living before he went to Japan. Famous as one of the three domestic best springs, Nanxi hotspring hides in the deep mountain peacefully. Besides the above-mentioned natural beauties, a national forest park, grand gorges in east Zhejing, Liantou Mountain and antique buildings in Qiantong town are also scenic spots combined with culture and nature. It has developed trade centers completed with cultural and entertainment facilities, besides 11 hotels suitable for foreign tourists with two of them ranked as 4 stars.
